I plan on keeping my business. I want it to start a label for
DD. Designated Driver is one of many products I want labeled with the term DD. With
the slogan you fill in the lines. Many people have given me nicknames that have
DD in it. Eventually when I am old and no longer work I will give my businesses
to people who I care about in life. The people who help me get to where I may
go. This is all a hope and if it will really happens then maybe dreams do come
true. I got this concept after someone close to me had passed away. He gave me my
original DD nickname. His death has changed my whole mindset. I now work hard
to grow as a human. One day I hope to have a wonderful family. The only way that
happens is by preparing now. By working hard I can be a boss of a company and
be able to support my family one day. I have always thought of the preparing
for the future. For example instead of wasting renewable resources such as gas
I made the Designated Driver a battery and solar panel operated car. Bill gates
just came out with a solar panel that can store power so that it last through
the whole day. That is an innovative idea I can add to my car. Constant
improvement allows for a product and business to stay successful. Look how
innovative the iPhone was, think of how the first iPhone was compared to today’s
iPhone. I wish everyone luck in their exit strategy.
Daryl,
ReplyDeleteLoved the title, I legitimately laughed out loud. It grabbed my attention right away. I like the name Designated Driver, I think it could catch on. I share the same goals as you, even though I don't plan on keeping the company that I've been discussing this semester. A solar panel car would be awesome, I honestly see that happening in the future.
Hi there Daryl, super great job writing this blog post. You are very original and funny with a lot of your blog post titles and I think that is a creative way to make this more fun. I chose to grow old with my business and then retire, so I differ from you in terms of our exit strategies. However, I completely agree with almost everything you said.
ReplyDeleteHi Daryl,
ReplyDeleteI also chose to keep my business in my lineage down the line. Your ideas of how to make your company sustainable thought can also be incredibly rewarding. Sustainability is the difference between old money and new money, and I think the best legacy that you can leave if other than children is leaving success for your children to carry on.
Daryl,
ReplyDeleteI see all of the other comments and apparently my mind was in a very different place. I immediately thought about Dunkin' Donuts. Maybe that says a lot about me and my coffee addiction. Nevertheless, the other portions of your post were very heartfelt and something that I admire. I am glad that you included these personal details and allowed us to be a part of that in your life. I wish you the best in all of these initiatives and hope you see nothing but success.
