1. Lack of competition
·
Valuable: With there being a lack of competition it makes it important
that we hold our image of being as technology advanced as possible.
·
Rare: The only other car company to compare to Designated Driver
(DD) is Telsa. Their cars have futurist features that relate to what DD has to
offer.
·
Inimitable: The coping of our cars would take some time. Telsa
would be the first to offer other similar cars. But other companies would not risk
the cost to make a profit. Even if coping became easy the cost is what keeps competitors
out.
·
Non-Substitutional: Designated Driver is not substitutable because
no car is able to fully recline into a
bed or make a place for work. Telsa can drive for you but does not have the reclining
into a bed option.
2. Social capital
·
Valuable: The social capital is valuable because so many people would
talk about these self-driving cars that allow you to work or sleep while the
car is in motion.
·
Rare: Nobody has been able to sit in a car and do work
comfortable or sleep comfortably. Most cars today if you fall asleep on the
road may have road assistance but that will only protect you for so long.
·
Inimitable: No car company can be advertised by customers that their
car allows them to catch up on work and or sleep. They also cannot adverse it
in their commercials.
·
Non-Substitutional: Until car companies change their AI (technological
building of something) they cannot social advertise their cars ability to fully
drive without any operation.
3. High but realistic
standards
·
Valuable: Designated Driver may seem impossible but is accessible.
Cars of today have lane assist which helps drivers stay in their lane. With a
little extra technology behind it the car is fully able to drive.
·
Rare: The resources it itself. The standards are so high which
is what makes it rare. No other car companies are willing to take the chance.
·
Inimitable: Coping the high standard is possible but it would have
to be done by Luxury companies. The cost behind it would put car companies out
of business.
·
Non-Substitutional: No car company has the idea of Designated
Driver. Designated driver thinks in the future to make it the present.
4. Investors
·
Valuable: My Uncle is an investor. When he first started
investing he made more money than most families will ever earn in their
lifetime.
·
Rare: It is rare because not a lot of people have investors they
can count on to fully fund what they need. If my uncle saw my product was valuable
maybe he would be willing to fund my car.
·
Inimitable: Coping my investor would not be very difficult.
Getting his investment may be more difficult for other people then me since he
is family.
·
Non-Substitutional: People could substitute their investors. Using
the Vrins made me understand this is one of my weaker resources.
5. Popular
·
Valuable: Many people like products that do things for them. For
example some people use siri to find out who won a football game. Others ask
Alexa to play a song. Many people want a car that would drive for them.
·
Rare: Nobody can drive around in their car and not have to focus
on where the car is going. Designated Driver would be so popular everyone would
be talking about it as the new must have car.
·
Inimitable: It would be hard to copy the popularity until
someone else could offer what DD has to offer.
·
Non-Substitutional: People would not be able to substitute the attraction
Designated driver would get.
6. Company culture able to
motivate/Human capital
·
Valuable: Having a great car is just as important as having a great
company. We want to keep a smile on our customers face and make them feel like
their time is important.
·
Rare: What is rare about Designated Driver is that we would care
for our company by having parties, extra time off, and great paying salaries.
·
Inimitable: Many companies could copy our company attitude if they
would innovate their workplace. Many companies struggle to have a liking for
each other.
·
Non-Substitutional: Companies could substitute how they care for
their workers and employees.
7. Observant
·
Valuable: It is valuable to be observant. If you are not observant
of your company it is easy for employees to ruin a company reputation. You also
have to observe your customers to see what needs to change with your product.
·
Rare: What is rare about being observant is that you can change
quickly to what others like. You also have to be able to see data on what
customers prefer.
·
Inimitable: It is easy to be observant if you know what you are
looking for. With a car company there is so much to look at that you have to observe
things in multiple ways. If people like a certain way a grill looks or how the
threading goes through a seat. Every detail has to matter if you want the
perfect product.
·
Non-Substitutional: Being observant requires substituting your
time somewhere else.
8. Security/safety
·
Valuable: Having safety is one of the most important feature of
Designated Driver. If all the new and futuristic perks the car do not grab your
attention the safety should. With requiring no effort there is no room for
human error.
·
Rare: Many people want safety within their car and that’s why
they do not purchase luxurious cars. Safety is our number one concern. So many
people die to cars sadly and Designated driver wants to slow that rate.
·
Inimitable: Safety of cars is being copied to Designated Driver
but is not fully possible yet. Many cars still require people to be in control
of the wheel.
·
Non-Substitutional: Nobody can provide to drive for the person
in the driver seat.
9. Profit Margin
·
Valuable: The profit margin is limited and actually grown. Elderly
people are afraid to drive, with Designated Driver they would just need to take
a joy ride down the road to get food or gifts for their grandkids. People who
are blind could also get rides to doctor appointments.
·
Rare: What is rare is that other car companies can not put blind
people and elders in the profit margin. Although the margin may be small it
still counts.
·
Inimitable: Coping this profit margin is almost impossible
currently. Elders may result to other cars due to price but for those who are
only afraid to drive there is no competition.
·
Non-Substitutional: The profit margin is not very substitution with
people who are unable to drive a vehicle.
10. User friendly
·
Valuable: Every car brand is user friendly or people would not
buy them. Designated Driver is more valuable than a racecar.
·
Rare: Nothing is very rare about having a user friendly car. Most
popular cars are very user friendly and that’s why they are in demand. Nobody
wants to buy a car they can’t operate.
·
Inimitable: Coping user friendly is the easiest resource to copy
out of my 10 resources.
·
Non-Substitutional: People can substitute to make user friendly
their most important feature. Designated Driver focuses more on safety than
user friendliness.
My most important resource in my opinion is safety. Cars can
kill people which is why safety is so important. Other products safety issues
is they may cause cutting of skin or irritated eyes. When something is
responsible with life it is a huge safety concern at that point. Although it may not be the most unique resource I feel it is the most important. I have lost friends due to car accident and do not wish it to happen to other people.
