Goodbye Blog

This semester was overall a wreck for me. I struggled inside and outside of school and class. I made many mistakes but there was still happiness along the way. I was shot down a lot this semester but always got up and kept pushing. I struggled in the videos because I did not have much please to my voice as I was hoping. I had a lot of moments dreading to get work done but it pays off in the long run. I realized the more you do now the easier it is in life later.

The most formative experience for me was the napkin idea and the what’s next. The napkin helped us put all our ideas together and take out the thing that did not really matter. The napkin made an image for your mind to go off of. The what’s next assignment let me think of what I could do to give back.

I have seen myself as an entrepreneur since before this class. I think my entrepreneurship skills grew when I went to Ireland for my study abroad. I was all alone for 6 weeks and found things that I struggled with day to day. This class just reminded me of something that entrepreneurs do to expand on their companies. Like how I said I never gave up and I think that is a huge skill an entrepreneur needs because they will fail many times before becoming successful.

What I would warn the people who are taking this class is seriously take the time to get ahead. These assignments are not awful and most can be done within an hour. If you do laundry on Sundays then you can bang out 3 to 4 assignments while you wait for all your clothes to be done. I would also suggest to turn in what you have if you start on an assignment. You can also make edits to your blog. If I would have done that I would not have lost 8 points one week.

  1. Hey there Daryl, again a very nice job with your blog post. I enjoyed reading it. I completely agree that future students should take the time to get ahead and knock multiple assignments out at once if you have an hour or two of free time. I really like your picture, I feel that it definitely relates to your idea.

  2. Daryl,
I am glad that you recognized that there were times this semester where you made mistakes. What is important about that you recognize how you can improve from those instances. There is no growth without failure and risks sometimes need to be made. I want to say that I have really enjoyed reading your posts this semester and have seen your ideas expand and grow. Continue to be an idealist. We need it for the future. Thanks again!

  3. Hi Daryl,
I think we’ve all had similar struggles as far as how it can be difficult keeping up with the assignments in this course as well as the creativity that this course forces you to channel. I can definitely relate on the semesters where you’re struggling in and out of school because life still goes on regardless of college or anything else. However, great job sticking it out and making it to the end of the course. I wish you the best of luck!
